Resilience is based on different skills such as critical thinking, decision-making ability, etc.
These skills can provide the development of:
Adapting successfully to changing situations and environments
Planning in advance, with alternatives in case something goes wrong
Persevering in the face of unexpected difficulties
Preventing and responding positively to changing environments
Tackling new challenges in a short timeframe.

When something goes wrong, do you tend to bounce back or fall apart?
When you have resilience, you harness the inner strength that helps you rebound from a setback or challenge, such as a job loss, an illness, a disaster or a loved one's death. If you lack resilience, you might dwell on problems, feel victimized, become overwhelmed or turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Resilience won't make your problems go away — but resilience can give you the ability to see past them, find enjoyment in life and better handle stress. If you aren't as resilient as you'd like to be, you can follow the methods analysed in this activity in order to enhance your resilience step by step!
Όταν κάτι πάει στραβά, έχεις την τάση να ανακάμπτεις ή να καταρρέεις;
Όταν διαθέτεις ανθεκτικότητα, αξιοποιείς την εσωτερική δύναμη που σε βοηθά να ανακάμψεις από μια αναποδιά ή πρόκληση, όπως μια απώλεια εργασίας, μια ασθένεια ή μια καταστροφή. Αν δεν έχεις ανθεκτικότητα, μπορεί να μένεις στα προβλήματα, να νιώθεις θύμα, να συγκλονίζεσαι ή να στρέφεσαι σε ανθυγιεινούς μηχανισμούς αντιμετώπισης.
Η ανθεκτικότητα δεν θα εξαφανίσει τα προβλήματά σου - αλλά η ανθεκτικότητα μπορεί να σου δώσει την ικανότητα να τα ξεπεράσεις, να βρεις χαρά στη ζωή και να διαχειριστείς καλύτερα το άγχος. Αν δεν είσαι τόσο ανθεκτικός/ή όσο θα ήθελες να είσαι, μπορείς να αναπτύξεις και να μάθεις δεξιότητες για να αναπτυχθείς μέσα από τις μεθόδους που αναλύονται σε αυτή την δραστηριότητα!
