INCLUSION IN ACTION﻿
Generation Europe - The Academy is an international network of youth organisations promoting an active European civil society. It motivates the young people involved to take joint political action and creates the conditions for this through the targeted quali!cation of youth work specialists. The cooperation is made possible by a funding programme of the same name run by the Internationales Bildungs- und Begegnungswerk (IBB e.V.) in Dortmund. In our network, young people are active together, regardless of their origin, their parents‘ income or their previous success in the formal education system. 45 youth organisations from 16 European countries are involved and organised in 15 partnerships of 3 member organisations. The concept: young people from three countries each work together continuously over a period of three years to get involved politically. They identify local problems, meet internationally and support each other in local projects to address these problems.

In this third Youth Encounter of the Partnership 15 we will deal with topics such as inclusion and participation, as well as coexistence and cooperation among young people with or without disabilities. Through the project 30 young people from the partners organisations will meet and participate in educational, experiential learning workshops in order to be able to prepare and organise activities together. The venue of the Youth Encounter 2024 is the “Tsaf Tsouf” summer camp (www.tsaftsouf.gr), simultaneously with a summer camp’s project caring for young people and children with disabilities. Through the collaboration with other young people and through the interaction with young people and children with disabilities, participants will develop attitudes and skills related to solidarity, coexistence, cooperation and social inclusion policies, will be able to express themselves freely and co-create inclusive activities and they will be able to recognize,  understand and embrace diversity.

The main objectives for our youth encounter “Inclusion in Action” in Greece are: 
Exchange of experiences and good practices with corresponding structures for people with disabilities operating in EU countries
Supporting in the creation of an inclusive society that still preserves cultural heritage of different groups 
To develop attitudes and behaviors towards fighting discrimination, to understand diversity so to support marginalized groups to develop a sense of "belonging" 
To promote inclusion and solidarity through interaction and cooperation.
To learn about disability and to engage in artistic and sport activities for people with disabilities.

I took actively part in the third Youth Encounter of the Partnership 15 in the Generation Europe - The Academy project. 
I engaged in the group activities and in the personal reflections, I interacted with the other participants in a language different than mine, and I contributed with my ideas and opinions.
Overall I reinforced my social competences and my understanding of what it means to be an active participant.
