The training project "EmpowerHER: A Training Course on Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality" promotes Gender Equality and social dialogue with the aim of raising awareness and intervention of the youth society itself as issues related to Democracy and EU values (as is gender equality). In every myth, every religion, every philosophy of life, extensive reference is made to the battle of the socially weak for a place in the "sun". Special reference is made to the struggle of women who fought to be able to enjoy Rights that men have by "nature". Nothing was given to women. Thousands of years of history have passed, and so many legal systems, so that finally, through the struggles and actions of prominent people, today we can have countries and societies that function, respecting the equality of all. And we lived well and they lived better… Because unfortunately there are very few countries and even fewer societies that respect women as equals, let alone "grant" them rights. There are many examples and we add more every day. Tolerance makes us all complicit. Even in Europe where Human Rights "apply" and everyone has exactly the same rights as everyone else, the reality is often different. femicides; Work? sexual exploitation; abuse; Countless examples of "rape" of women in all aspects of society. Why? Who "legitimizes" illegal acts against socially weak women? We of course. All of us who with our silence and tolerance allow the society we live in - essentially ourselves, to continue to act unequally against women. Attitudes and behaviors aided by the media, education, family and perpetuate this problem. By identifying the causes, we can influence the behavior of young people and finally carry out actions that will lead to a change in behavior and a real treatment of the problem. Social movements in these countries strive for the obvious. It is next to us, in our neighborhood. Can we care? The least we can do is offer young people from these countries training and networking opportunities for more effective peaceful ways of acting. By activating young people, we can change the society in which we live. In particular, European citizens must realize the power that this status offers us and use it on the one hand to improve the conditions in European society, on the other hand to push for the implementation of policies in the EU's neighboring countries, policies that defend universal values such as equality of both sexes and recognize the rights of all.
