Alexandropupoli municipality implements several policies and initiatives contributing to European Youth Goals #3 Inclusive Societies, and #10 Sustainable Green Europe.
During the good practice sharing session, the representative of Alexandropupoli municipality presented two initiatives:
- Expanding bike-friendly infrastructure in the city and promoting cycling as a green mobility culture within the city community and guest visitors;
- Improving accessibility to people with various abilities and needs makes the city more inclusive.

The accessibility of our cities affects everyone. The Access City Award celebrates the cities implementing accessibility improvements aimed at benefitting all their citizens and promoting the social inclusion of people with disabilities and the elderly.
